Learn MoreCommon Plumbing Issues We See
The sorts of problems we're called out to fix across Pinkenba every week.
Tree root intrusion
Big old trees send roots straight through ageing clay sewer joints, and the blockage only gets worse until the line's cleared properly.
Ageing supply pipes
Original galvanised and copper pipes corrode from the inside over the decades — rusty water, pinhole leaks, and dropping pressure follow.
Stormwater backups
Heavy downpours overwhelm stormwater drains on low-lying streets, pushing water back up through gullies and into yards.
Blocked kitchen drains
Years of fat, oil and food scraps build up inside older waste pipes until the sink stops draining altogether.
Cracked shower bases
Original bathroom fixtures crack with age and start leaking into the subfloor long before you notice any water damage.
Failing hot water systems
Electric storage units have a working life — once they're past it, tanks rust through or the element gives out without warning.
Leaking taps & outdoor pipes
Worn washers, snapped garden taps and perished flexi hoses are the usual cause of that steady drip you can't ignore.

Plumbing in Pinkenba — Your Questions
About Pinkenba
Pinkenba is an industrial riverside suburb near the mouth of the Brisbane River and the airport, with a small residential pocket of older homes among the port and logistics facilities that dominate the area.
The low-lying, riverside position means stormwater and tidal considerations are a genuine factor for the suburb's remaining homes, and the age of the residential stock means original plumbing infrastructure is common.
